Hearts/Liberty in Ofei Ansah Memorial match

Accra, June 29, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak and Liberty Professionals will on Monday July 3, play a memorial match in remembrance of the late Emmanuel Ofei-Ansah, former coach of Hearts, who died after a league match between the two sides a year ago.

The encounter, the maiden edition of the annual memorial event instituted by Hearts in remembrance of the tragic death of Offei-Ansah will be used to raise funds for the up-keep of the family of the deceased family.

The encounter is scheduled for the Dansoman Liberty Park. A flat rate of 20, 000 cedis will be charged at the gates. Ofesi-Ansah, then acting coach of Hearts collapsed after league game between the two clubs at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium and latter passed out at the Ridge Hospital.

Both clubs are also expected to use the game as a preparatory ground match for the commencement of the 2006 soccer season, hence they will use all their regular players for the game. Hearts would also use the match to prepare for Enyimba International of Nigeria in the first game of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Champions League on GNA
