Hearts/All Blacks on Sunday

Accra, Sept. 5, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak will on Sunday, September 9, take on Gamba All Blacks in a friendly soccer match at the newly- renovated El-Wak sports stadium in Accra.

The match forms part of preparations of the two teams towards the commencement of the 2007/8 Premier League.

A statement signed by Mr Ashford Tettey-Oku, Administrative Manager of Hearts copied to the GNA Sports said the match is also aimed at honouring the Club's immediate past Chief Executive, Mr Thomas Okai. Mr Okai now known as Nii Ayi Bonte II was recently out-doored as the Gbese Mantse and Adontehene of the Ga State. The statement said the match will also mark the return of the Club to the El-Wak after a long absence.

The match will be spiced up with the presence of newly recruited talents like Kofi Abanga, Benjamin Boateng, Ohene Addo and Charles Taylor, who has been cleared to play for only 40 minutes as part of his maintenance recovery strengthening programme.

The match will attract a gate fee of 30,000 (3GHC) and 40,000 (4GHC). The Administrative Manager called on all Phobians and soccer lovers to make sure they come in their numbers to cheer up the team.
