Heart of Lions rule out expatriate coach

Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Lions have confirmed they will not hire the services of an expatriate as their new coach.

The Kpando-based side are on the market shopping for a new coach after sacking Ken August at the end of last season.

"We are still in hunt for a coach but I can say for a fact that we are looking locally for an experienced trainer and not a foreign coach,'' Lions Team Manager Yashin Laryea said.

"The Chief Executive himself is trying to negotiate with some of the best local coaches around and our assistant coach is still performing his duties satisfactorily especially on recruitment and others.''

Lions endured a torrid campaign to finish 12th in last season's Ghana Premier League.
