Asante Kotoko have signed Joseph Theophilus Nyame from Sekondi-Takoradi-based side Hasaacas in a three-year deal, an official has confirmed.

The defensive midfielder joins the record title holders as a free agent and has started pre-season with coach David Duncan’s men.

“We have currently completed the signing of Nyame and other players and he trained with us today.” Kotoko operations manager George Kennedy was quoted as saying by Ghanasoccernet.com.

Kotoko have so far snaffled four players ahead of the new season, including Ernest Sowah, Samuel Kyere, Michael Yeboah and Joseph Theophilus Nyame.

A deal for Liberty Professionals star Latif Blessing is also near completion, according to sources.

The Porcupines ended the season second on the log after Ghana FA Appeals Committee restored six points deducted from the Kumasi-based outfit in favour of archrivals Hearts of Oak over an alleged use of ineligible player.
