Hasaacas beat Chelsea 2-1

Essipong, (W/R) May 3, GNA - Sekondi Hasaacas on Sunday beat visiting Bechem Chelsea 2-1 in their Glo Premier League match played at the Sekondi Sports Stadium at Essipong. Emmanuel Ankobea shot Hasaacas into the lead when the game was just 55 seconds after kick-off, shattering the hopes of their opponents who were then gearing up to go into attack.

Chelsea put their acts in order and stepped up pressure for an early equaliser but Hasaacas held the fort gamely until Ankobea scored the second goal for his side in the 44th minute. After the recess, Chelsea matched Hasaacas boot for boot as the match gathered momentum and in the 49th minute, a free kick was awarded against Hasaacas near their penalty area. The kick taken by Samuel Kyere flew past Hasaacas goalie Wilson Yeboah straight into the net for a consolation for the visitors. After the goal, it was Chelsea who were on top of proceedings as they forced the homesters into defending the lead till the final whistle.
