Hard luck cost us – Baba Rahman

Black Satellites left back Baba Rahman was completely at a loss with the side’s continuous slide at the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup, blaming it mainly on hard luck.

Ghana’s progression to the next stage of the competition hangs in a balance following the two defeats, and the team must now beat the USA to pull through.

Baba Rahman who lost out on a starting role in Ghana’s first game because he trained with his colleagues just once following his return from assignments with the Black Stars told Joy Sports “it’s been difficult for us playing two matches with no point. I didn’t see anything wrong with our performance, but I will say we were just unlucky, but we hope to improve.”

The Greuther Fürth defender, however, is hopeful that Ghana can at least beat the USA to seal qualification to the second stage of the tournament.

He added: “That game is an all-out game; we have to win and win convincingly. If not, then we will be out of the competition.”
