Great Olympics to offload ten players

Bottom-placed club in the Ghanaian league,Accra Great Olympics, have decided to rid off ten players after the first half of the Onetouch Premier League ended last Sunday.

The Accra-based team wants to revamp ahead of the start of the second round next month in an attempt to improve their fortunes.

Olympics are at the foot of the table with 9 points from 15 games and recorded only two wins.

''Great Olympics is a big team and we have realized that some of the players do not have what it takes to play for us.We want to turn things round,'' Chairman of Olympics,Alex Odoi told Ghanasoccernet.com

''They are good players but they can't play for us.We have a meeting today(Tuesday) after which we will talk to the players.

''We recruited 13 players but they are not helping our course.I think by making them go and others filling the gap, things can change in the second round,'' Odoi added.

The club has penned down seven players who are likely to be registered after the break for the second half of the league.

''The seven players are experienced and will make a difference for us.There is no time to waste at all.We want to fight relegation.''
