Great Astronomers pip Assin Dompim Ahofra Royals

Cape Coast, Dec. 25 GNA - Adisadel Great Astronomers clinched a narrow 1-0 victory over Assin Dompim Ahofra Royals in their Second Division football league match at the Robert Mensah stadium at Cape Coast on Friday.

The only goal of the match was scored by outside left, Ibrahim Tijani in the 55th minute.

Results of the other matches were, Elmina Coconut Grove Sharks beat Oguaa United 2-1, Abura Dunkwa Galaxy F/C drew 1-1 with Mankessim Mir F/C, Saltpond Kampsite lost 1-3 to Assin Akrofuom Santos with Biriwa Academy beating Great Breman 2-0.

Mankessim Mighty Victory spanked Atandansu Royals 4-1, Ochiso Etwe Ewuruku drew 0-0 against Odonase Motherland, Gomoa Fetteh Youngsters beat Swedru Alpha Stars 2-1, Gomoaman Dahlin chalked a 2-0 victory over Apam Liberty, Agona Fankobaa lost 0-1 to Ojobi Kaakyire Stars with Apam Maxbees Babies beating Bereku Soccer Professionals 2-0.
