Grant keen on disciplined players

Incoming Black Stars coach, Avram Grant, will have no business to do with player indiscipline, according to his agent.

Grant, who has followed the Black Stars since their amazing achievement in 2010, is well informed of the indiscipline in the Stars’ team after their row with officials during the 2014 FIFA world cup in Brazil.

Media reports say the former Chelsea Manager will want to invite outcasts Sulley Muntari, Michael Essien and Kevin Prince Boateng from exile following the individual roles they played during the World Cup.

But a close aide to Grant has denied that, saying Grant is a manager who believes in player discipline and indiscipline players will not be given an opportunity with the national team.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the aid stated that, “the new manager believes in players who are very disciplined, and so if you are not but you are the Maradona of your team, I can bet you, you cannot walk into his team.”

“He works with high standards, no-nonsense coach who is willing to give his all to the national team, and I am hopeful things will change.

“He is not a God, but he will definitely make some serious changes that will help revive the fortunes of the Black Stars on any day.”
