Ghana's sole representative in continental competition, Goldfields, have been drawn against top Ivorien club Africa Sports in the quarter-final of the CAF Cup competition , when the pairings for the last eight was held by the Confederation of African Football in Cairo yesterday.

Victory for Goldfields would set up a clash with either Wydad Casablanca of Morocco or Algerian club JS Kabylie who clash in the quarter-finals. Other quarter-final clashes involve Etoile Sportive of Tunisia against Ajax Cape Town, while Ferroviario of Mazambique play Camerounian side Coton Sport.

In Group B are Egyptian giants Al Ahly, Asec of Cote d'Ivoire, Algeria's CR Belouizded and Petro Atletico of Angola. The money-spinning, mini-league competition kicks off between August 10-12.
