Gold Stars beat King Faisal 2-1

Bibiani(W/R), Aug. 30, GNA - Division One campaigners, Bibiani Gold Stars put up a splendid performance to beat visiting Premier side, Kumasi King Faisal 2-1 in a friendly football match at Bibiani in the Western Region on Sunday.

King Faisal scored the opening goal in the 30th minute through Thompson Okaidja when he sliced his way through the Gold Stars defence to take a 1-0 half time lead.

On resumption of the second half, Gold Stars brought on Ernest Boateng and Joshua Aikins to replace injured Amakwaah Boateng and Mamudu Ali.

These changes paid dividend for the team as Francis Tsoamanah put Gold Stars on level terms in the 53rd minute.

Just as the game was coasting to a drawn game, Gold Stars mounted series of raids in the goal area of the visitors and deservedly snatched the match winner in the 70th minute through Seth Attah. Mr Robert Djan, Accra representative of Gold Stars who briefed the tune the team for future assignments.
