Ghana Black Satellites coach Jimmy Cobblah is confident that his team will get the needed results against Mali in the last Group B game and make it to the World Cup in Poland.

The Satellites were battered 2-0 by Senegal on Wednesday afternoon with a section of the media already concluding that the team cannot make it to the Youth World Cup.

However, Cobblah is optimistic that his team will grab the remaining ticket for the global soccer showpiece when they face Mali.

“I don’t know where that is coming from or who is saying Mali are the second favourites to win this tournament, maybe that’s (journalist) opinion. People were saying Ghana is going to be the weakest team because we have no competition in our country, but I want to say that Ghana will not leave this tournament without a medal.”Cobblah stated in the Post-match presser.

“I can assure you that we will qualify for the World Cup come the day we play Mali”

He added: “We protested that it was not fair for us to have only 24 hours rest, but the organizers said we must so we had no option than to come and play, but we are still hoping for the best.”

Ghana will face Mali in a must win or draw game on Friday.
