Ghana's First FIFA Licensed Player Agent

Although residing in London England, Kasey Kwame Duku has become the first if not the only FIFA registered (Ghanaian origin) licensed agent. After intense training during which he also acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree in Money/Banking and Finance within the same period he is now in a position to revitalise players? careers and possible aid Ghanaian football.

The young but ambitious young man represented Millwall football club as a schoolboy but decided against a career in football and instead pursued his academic intentions.

Breaking into the usually sophisticated inclined profession was no easy feat for the 27-year-old young man who hails from the cantonments area of Ghana.

He prefers to be known as a licensed representative than an agent. As he explained ?Agency theory is unfortunately evident within the football world, there is a lot of unprofessionalism, 9 times out of 10 players are exploited or ill advised. It would be immensely pleasing to be able to assist and promote a fellow Ghanaian or African player and as a fan of Ghanaian football, I know what it means to see a product of Ghanaian football elevate to dizzy heights?.

? I mainly got into this, because am aware of the talent within Ghana and Africa as a whole. It would an understatement to say that the continent has some what under achieved in terms of dominating across the globe, which should be imminent, considering that the continent is smudge with rich talent?.

Kwame aims to erect a strategy, which would see him sustain an ongoing working relationship with all his clients and continue assist and monitor his fellow countrymen?s progress and guide them through any difficult periods they may face.

Indeed as he put it ?Ghana football can only improve, when the players are well represented and able to enhance their performance amongst the best leagues in the world. Without taking away all the talent within Ghanaian league, clubs should be encouraged to invest and pump the rewards reaped from hefty transfer fees back into the game and present current players with a better wage package?.

A Ghanaian origin presented with a FIFA licence, can only be a positive sign for Ghanaian football and its players both home and abroad.
