Ghana prospect Bellarabi warned to work on his defence

The coach of Eintracht Braunschweig, Torsten Lieberknect, has urged Ghana target Karim Bellarabi to work on his defending.

The winger who is on loan from Bayer Leverkusen has been the best player in the side of the minnows scoring three league goals in five games.

“If he learns to work even better on the defensive, his value to the team would be even greater than it already is,” the coach insisted. “On defense, he still has a lot of room for improvement.”

Bellarabi, 23, moved to Braunschweig during the summer after recovering from a career-threatening knee injury which kept him out of action for 10 months at Bayer Leverkusen.

The former German Under-21 star was born to a Ghanaian father and a Moroccan mother and can play for both countries at senior level.
