Election 2016 Peace Ambassador, Stephen Appiah has praised the Ghana Premier League (GPL) for it’s competitive nature.

The 2015/16 season has been labelled as one of the most competitive ever witnessed with the top five teams separated by just five points, middle teams are apart each other based on goal difference and the bottom placed sides are separated by just a point and goal difference.

The former Ghana Black Stars captain in an interview with Accra based, Radio Gold said, the competitive nature of the league is the reason why he is glued to it.

“This season’s league has confirmed the competitive nature of the GPL and this is good for the promotion of the game and I am attracted to it due to that.”

Appiah will on June 8 and 11 lead out a galaxy of world stars play matches against Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Ghana Black Stars at the Kumasi and Accra Sports stadia respectively in games put together by Primeval Media in collaboration with Vodafone Ghana and other sponsors to highlight on the essence of peace ahead of the general elections in Ghana later this year.
