Ghana-Australia: Cahill out

Australia's gun Tim Cahill is certain to miss this week's match against Ghana in London after being stretchered off during Everton's 1-0 loss to Aston Villa.

Cahill suffered a knee injury in a collision with team-mate Lee Carsley in the 20th minute of the game at Goodison Park, and was immediately substituted.

With the Socceroos clash against Ghana only three days away, Cahill is no chance of playing, leaving coach Graham Arnold without one of his chief attacking weapons.

Cahill suffered a similar injury in the lead-up to this year's World Cup.
