GHALCA extends goodwill message to Kotoko

Accra, Sept 11, GNA - The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has wished Kumasi Asante Kotoko good luck and its support ahead of the Club's Saturday CAF Confederation Cup Group B tie against Jeunesse Sportive Kabylie of Algeria at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi. Kurt E.S. Okraku, Administrative Manager of GHALCA in a goodwill message copied to GNA Sports in Accra on Thursday said Kotoko has been offered a big opportunity to mend the broken hearts of Ghanaians following the Black Stars loss to the Greens of Libya last week in the penultimate Group Five clash of the 2010 World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations.

"We firmly believe you can deliver once again and make all Ghanaians proud," said Okraku.

Kotoko like the other three clubs in the Group, JSK, Etoile du Sahel (Tunisia) and Al-Merrikh (Sudan) all have three points from two games each and any result other than victory on Saturday will greatly hamper their chances of a next stage berth. The top placed Club after the round-robin matches will meet that of Group A in the finals. Kotoko were losing finalists in the maiden edition in 2004. 11 Sept. 08
