GFA holds extra-ordinary congress on Jan. 10

Accra, Dec. 20, GNA – The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will hold an Extra-Ordinary Congress on Tuesday, January 10 at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, Prampram, West Dangbe District of the Greater Accra Region.

A statement issued from the Secretariat of the GFA copied to GNA Sports said the one-day session will discuss proposed amendments to its regulations and statutes.

It mentioned that other issues to be discussed includes rules governing the procedures of the Player Status Committee and the Dispute Resolution Committee, regulations for the status and domestic transfer of players and club licensing.

A proposal from the Executive Committee of the GFA to increase the number of Clubs in Zone 3A of the Division One League from eight to nine clubs and the GFA Code will also be reviewed on the day.

The Extra-Ordinary Congress will take place on the eve of the penultimate match of the first round of the 2011/2012 Glo Premier League.

The first halve of the season will come to an end on January 15, 2012.
