GFA Abandon Arbitration In Taylor Transfer

The Ghana Football Association would begin fresh investigations into the Charles Taylor transfer saga to ascertain the claims by the various parties involved.

The football governing body says its latest step is aimed at thoroughly ascertaining the claims of the various parties to establish the actual facts of the dispute.

Hearts of Oak say they have signed a three year contract extension with Charles Taylor worth 100 million cedis. The Phobians further claim that Taylor has received 50 million cedis for that. Hearts are also questioning the validity of a transfer request by Taylor. They insist that the letter which had Taylor’s signature was forged.

Taylor on the other hand has denied signing a contract extension, for which he collected fifty million cedis. The FA has therefore abandoned its intended arbitration before the fundamental differences between the parties involved are settled.

Taylor a two time Ghanaian player of the year, who inspired Hearts of Oak to a sixth straight league title has refused to play for the Phobians this season.
