GBC ready for hitch free transmission of World Cup

In just about a week, the World’s attention will be on the most celebrated sporting event, the FIFA World Cup which is slated for Brazil.

As the soccer fever gathers momentum, with Ghana’s Black Stars proudly represented, your authentic and trusted voice, GBC, is promising its audience quality transmission of all matches both on Radio and Television countrywide.

Necessary arrangements are being made to set up public viewing centres in all Regional capitals during the World Cup.

GBC's Technical engineers are on the ground to ensure a hitch free transmission of all the World Cup matches.

The Director of Engineering at GBC, Augustus Yamson, says all areas with reception challenges are being attended to.

Meanwhile, as part of its feverish preparation for the World Cup, the state broadcaster GBC will in the next few days extend its digital transmission to Kumasi and its environs.

According to the Director - General, Major Albert Don-Chebe, this will be followed by the launch of GBC’s two new TV channels, GTV Governance and Obonu TV.
