Frimpong Charges Meteors

Ghana's U-23 international, Joetex Frimpong, has charged his teammates in the Black Meteors, to go all out for victory in their Athens 2004 Olympic qualifier against Algeria, slated for Kumasi, this Sunday.

In an interview with Ghanaweb in Lagos, Frimpong, who is presently preparing for Sunday's African Super Cup clash against Tunisia's Etoile du Sahel, at his team's camp in Ota, Ogun State, urged the players to be at their best on match day.

"Although I would be playing for my Nigerian club, Enyimba, I want Ghanians to know that I am praying for the Meteors.

"A victory would certainly boost our chances of playing in the Olympics. I hope to contribute my quota towards Ghana's qualification for the Olympics. I really enjoyed my time with the players when we defeated Liberia last year," Frimpong said. The Ghanaian was on duty for his country when Ghana dumped Liberia, last year.
