Founder of Feyenoored Rotterdam arrives in Ghana

Accra, Jan. 20, GNA - Mr. Van Den Henrik Jorienus, President and Founder of Feyenoored Football Club of Rotterdan and Feyenoored Football Academy, at Gomoa-Fetteh arrived in Accra on Monday. His visit followed the qualification of the Gomoa-Fetteh based Football Club to the Premier League.

Speaking to newsmen, Mr. Jorienus expressed his pleasure at the successful establishment of the Academy to develop the skills and talents of young footballers. He commended Coach Sam Arday, Technical Director, for his efforts in the establishment of the Academy established and expressed his thanked the Chief and people of Gomoa-Fetteh for providing land for the project.

Mr. Jorienus who would be in the country for a week is expected to inspect work on an artificial field being constructed at Fetteh and pay a courtesy call on Mr. Baah Wiredu, Minister for Education, Youth and Sports. Coach Sam Addy and Mr. Karole Brokken, Managing Director of the Academy, met Mr. Jorienus accompanied by his wife at the airport.
