For One Ghana Foundation donates to Stars

As the road to Germany for the world's greatest soccer tournament get closer and the national team, the Black Stars get ready for the World Cup, many Ghanaians around the world are contributing in diverse ways to support the stars.

Recently Mr. Fredua Dankwa Jr.popularly known as K.K., Chief Executive Officer of "For One Ghana Foundation" donated sports medical supplies worth $10,000 to the Ghana Football Association as his Foundation's contribution in support of the senior national team, the Black Stars as they prepare for Germany 2006 World Cup.

Among the items donated were; painkillers, bandages, plasters, knee and ankle braces, and anklets. GFA President; Kwesi Nyantakyi who received the items on behalf of the Black Stars thanked the donor, Mr. Dankwa Jr. and called on individuals and corporate bodies to emulate Mr. Dankwa's gesture.

In an interview with Ghanaweb, K.K. emphasized the need for all Ghanaians to rally behind the Black Stars in this historic debut at the World Cup, he also said his foundation is raising funds through the sale of "Support the Black Stars" silicone wrist bands which will go towards social and healthcare causes in Ghana. Mr Dankwa said his ultimate goal is to establish the "United Way" of Ghana.
