Football people 'incompetent' - NPP's Obiri Boahen

Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has taken a swipe at the football administrators who served under the Kwesi Nyatakyi administration.

The politician claims football in the West African nation has gone on a downward trajectory making it unattractive under the watch of ‘football people’ and went further to question their competence in leading Ghana football.

Explaining his point on Ghanacrusader radio, he said; Who are the football people? he asked, “Ghana football has not been attractive for the past decade. The so-called football people who want to handle Ghana football can not make the sport better, Anas did a very good job by exposing these people”

“These people don’t have the character to lead our football in Ghana and they must not be encouraged”

The astute legal practitioner advised that; “The league should be given to a private entity to run”
