Fauzan FC for Div. One

Fauzan Football Club has finally qualified for the national Division One League after a near miss last season.

The Kasoa-based team sealed their qualification with a 1-0 victory over a determined King Hussein side in their last middle league match at Cape Coast last Friday.

That victory catapulted Fauzan to 13 points, two more than fellow contenders Metro Stars who joined the competition only this season.

Fauzan, formed only two years ago, made a huge impact in their debut season only to miss the boat to division one by a whisker.

This year’s tough six-club middle league saw others like Mfantsiman United, King Hussein, God is Great and Coconut Grove competing.

Speaking to the Graphic, an elated Fauzan FC chairman, Mr Abdallah Bin Ibrahim Bonsu, praised the players and technical team for that wonderful performance and gave an indication that they are going to take the Division One League by storm next season.

He, however, complained that though they emerged the champions, the Central Regional Football Association (RFA) are yet to give them a letter to that effect.
