Fatau shines in AshGold's friendly win over Kotoko

Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda enjoyed one of his best afternoons in post during AshantiGold’s 2-0 win against Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The former Orlando Pirates gloves man was given the nod ahead of Robert Dabuo and repaid the faith reposed in him by coach Bashiru Hayford.

He denied red-hot Ivorian striker Ahmed Toure on numerous occasions drawing applause from the sparse crowd at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Dauda’s overall performance was recommendable as he brought all his experience to bear in the high-profile friendly.

He is expected to lead the charge as Ashanti Gold mount a strong charge on Kotoko’s league title this season.
