Faisal to recruit more players to beef up squad

Kumasi, Aug. 14, GNA - The management of Kumasi-based King Faisal F/C has met with the technical team to discuss ways of strengthening the playing squad for the 2009/2010 Premier League season. The measure is in anticipation that the Club might lose some of its key players to other Clubs. Mr Samuel Otoo, Communications Director of Faisal disclosed this to the GNA Sports in Kumasi on Friday. The GNA Sports has gathered that Faisal are likely to lose the services of Abdul Samad Oppong, Dan Addo, skipper Awudu Nafiu and Bashiru Usman to other Clubs.

Mr Otoo said considering the fact that Faisal would be participating in this year's CAF Confederation Cup Championship, it was important that the management found equally talented players for replacement.

The Club is currently organizing trials for some young promising stars from the lower divisions as well as the premiership. The management was also engaged in talks with some experienced players with the view to signing them on.

Mr Otoo said with Coach Isaac 'Opeele' Boateng in their fold, Faisal was confident that all would go well with the Club locally and on the international scene. The Management, he said, has officially had talks with the coach to present the list of players he would want to be put on the transfer market for the necessary decision to be taken. 14 Aug. 09
