FA Considering Other Apparel Deals

The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association has directed that the management board of the F.A hold on to the signing of the proposal sent in by the U.S Company El-Sporto to kit the National Teams.

The executive council has asked that the management Board consider other proposals before sealing any deal with El-Sporto.

According to the Council, any deal signed should be for a long-term period.

El-Sporto had wanted to kit the National Teams with much more attention to the Black Stars but the Executive Council says all deals should include all the National Teams including that of the women.

According to the Chairman of the Executive Council, Alhaji Y.A. Ibrahim, the FA would have to hold on to the signing of the El-Sporto kit deal for the Black Stars.

The deal would have seen the senior national team wearing the kits for the African Cup of Nations 2002 to be hosted by Mali.

The Executive Council chairman said, the management board would have to quickly seal a kit deal which would not only be for a short period and also beyond CAN 2002.

The new deal would also be expected to include the other national teams.
