Bent on honouring their promise of qualifying for the Glo Premier League next season, Tarkwa Based Division One side, F.C Medeamma, has invaded the camp of defending League Champions, Accra Hearts of Oak grabbing six players to strengthen the club as they prepare for the Polytank Division One League. Checks from Hearts of Oak revealed that officials of F.C Medeamma have succeeded in signing forward Abubakar Mahadi, who was impressive for the Phobians last season scoring important goals for the Phobians to aide them in securing the league title.

The loss of Mahadi to F.C Medeamma is likely to be a blow to the Hearts of Oak team judging from his contributions to the club last season that saw them annexing the league title.

Other players who have joined Mahadi to F.C Medeamma are defender Ziem Quaye, brother of Daniel Quaye, former Hearts defender, midfielders Ohene Addo, Massawudu Sulemana, David Ampah and David Annan. According to club’s bankroller, Moses Armah, the decision to bring on these experienced players was to help realize their dream of making it to the Premier League next season after gaining qualification for the Division One league last October.

He added that the club is bent on signing almost all the best material on the local scene as he seek to make F.C Medeamma one of the finest football club in the country in the coming years.

Also joining the Tarkwa based club is Black Satellite and Heart of Lions forward, Hans Coffie in a move to strengthen the attacking machinery of the team according to head coach Abdul Karim Zito.

With the Division One league set to commence next December, Zito claims his side will commence a residential camping next Monday to prepare them adequately for the competition.

F.C Medeamma, were last Sunday crowned winners of a four club tourney involving Premier League side Sekondi Hasaacas, fellow Division One side Metro Stars and Proud United as the club’s preparations towards the national Division One league next month.
