Everton Eyeing Essien

English Premier league side, Everton, are tracking Bastia's Michael Essien, according to The Sun.

Toffees boss David Moyes is reported to have flown to France to watch the Ghana midfielder.

Moyes has made an initial inquiry but faces competition for the 20-year-old's signature from Lyon and Marseille.

Ex-Ghanaian international, Alex Nyarko, is still with Everton, but has not played for them in over a year. Everton have been trying to off-load him, but the price-tag is too high for most of the teams who have requested his service.
