ormer two-time African champions, Enyimba FC of Aba are banking on their Ghanaian born forward, Joetex Frimpong to get the goals that would nail rivals, Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi, in the finals of the Coca-Cola FA Cup, in Nigeria.

The Ghanaian, who is a nominee for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award in the 60-year old competition would anchor his team's attack in Saturday's final slated for the Liberation Stadium, Port-Harcourt.

Joetex told www.ghanaweb.com that he is ready to help his team achieve the task.

"Enyimba has put in a lot to win this match so this is time to ensure that we get it right. We are stepping into the field with one thing in mind and that is to win the cup," he said.

In addition, he said: "Having won everything in the continent, this is the time to win the Coca-Cola FA Cup since it is the only trophy that the club is yet to win."

If Enyimba wins,he would join other Ghanaians like Edward Ansah, John Benson and Arthur Moses, who also won the cup, then called the Challenge Cup, while playing clubfootball in Nigeria.

The Ghanaian international, who helped the Black Stars qualify for the Germany 2006 World Cup is the most successful Ghanaian player on the continent in recent times.

He won the African Champions League with his Nigerian club, Enyimba in 2003 and 2004 and also won the African Super Cup twice to become the first Ghanaian player in African to win both titles back-to-back.

Aside from this, he became the first player to score 14 African Champions League goals in two editions of the competition (2003 and 2005)
