Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke says he is honoured to have played in Ghana for the first time after starring in the 2016 Vodafone Unity Match.

Yorke, 44, who played the first half of the game lauded the organizers for the great initiative of playing the Unity Match insisting it is an honour bestowed on him.

“First of all let me say it is a great honour to be here in Ghana to play alongside most of these ex-players.

“I played against most of them but I did not play with them as we have played together today. So for the first time, I have played in the same team with in Ghana and it is great.

“The reception from the people, the organizers and the fans has been tremendous despite the results.”

The former Trinidad and Tobago captain was a member of the Manchester United side that won the 1999 UEFA Champions League.
