Dwarfs thrash Blessing F/C in friendly match

Cape Coast, July 7 GNA- Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs, reaped a goal harvest on Sunday, when they whipped Accra Blessing Soccer F/C 6-0 in a friendly football match played at Cape Coast sports stadium. The man of the match was outside left Frank Mensah who scored a hat trick. Dwarfs started the match strongly and took an early lead in the second minute when a hard-pressed defender of Blessing deflected the ball into his own net. Inspired by this goal, Dwarfs continued to pile pressure on the visitors and it came as no surprise when centre forward, Nana Kwei, exploited a defensive blunder to raise the tally to 2-0 in the 25th minute. In the 30th minute, the Blessing Soccer Club, an Accra-based second division side which was finding the going very tough, made two changes but that did not prevent Dwarfs from increasing the score to 3-0 through Nana Kwei before half time. The visitors resumed the second half strongly and twice came close to scoring but their forwards wasted the chances. In the 65th minute Dwarfs took absolute control of the game and banged in three more goals through Frank Mensah to seal the doom of the visitors.
