Dwarfs beat Hasmal 2-1

CAPE Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs last Sunday, put up a spectacular performance to beat the Pride of the West, Sekondi Hasaacas 2-1 in a friendly encounter at the Siwdu Stadium.

The match used by both teams to assess the performance of their players was witnessed by a large number of Ebusua Dwarfs supporters.

Sekondi Hasaacas exhibited quality play in midfield in the early minutes of the game and made some incursions into Dwarfs? vital area but Rashidi Alawe of Dwarfs stood tall in defence and prevented the likes of Stephen Sekyere, Ibrahim Dauda and good old John Ainoo from causing any harm.

Ebusua Dwarfs recovered quickly and started raiding the vital area of Hasaacas. Maxwell Kyei?s goal in the 28th minute could have been the opener for Dwarfs, but was disallowed when referee Jeffrey Amamoo of Cape Coast whistled for offside positioning.

Dwarfs were however, rewarded in the 40th minute when Frank Mensah dribbled past a defender outside the penalty box and fired home a long shot that beat goalie Ekow Ampiah in post for Hasaacas to earn his side the first goal.

Dwarfs increased the tally to two when Maxwell Kyei added his name on the score sheet in the 68th minute through a pass from Matthew Attiogbe.

Attiogbe could have increased the tally to three for Dwarfs in the 70th minute when he had goalie Ampiah at his mercy but failed to score.

Hasaacas scored their consolation in the 88th minute when super substitute Frederick Tandoh beat the Dwarfs defence to shoot home the ball.
