Duya lays into 'shy' Essien

The China Olympic team's eventful training camp at Chelsea caused fresh controversy last night when coach Ratomir Dujkovic criticised Michael Essien.

Dujkovic, who coached Chelsea's Ghanaian midfielder at international level until last year, said: "The circle of the Ghana team was very good, but Essien was not involved in the circle. He was always very shy and went away, thinking about other things. Essien is not a natural leader and he wasn't a key player in the World Cup."

Meanwhile, QPR coach Richard Hill is fighting for his job after the club yesterday held talks over Wednesday's training ground brawl with China.
