Dutch-born Ghanaian Tete signs new Ajax deal

Dutch youngster of Ghanaian descent Kenny Tete has signed a new deal with Ajax Amsterdam, Goal Ghana understands.

The 19-year-old defender currently has a contract that expires next summer but the Dutch champions have given him a new one year deal.

Tete plays for the Ajax reserve team (Jong Ajax) but he occasionally features for the main side in Dutch Cup games.

Born in Amsterdam to a Ghanaian father and a Dutch-Mozambican mother, Tete has already played for the Dutch Under-17 and 19 national teams.

Tete scored over the weekend as Jong Ajax drew 2-2 with MVV Maastricht.
