Duo lined up for FA role

THE Government has nominated Abedi Pele and Ben Kwofie as well as a CAF technical consultant for the chairmanship position at the Ghana FA.

This nomination puts to rest the intense lobbying for the nomination, which has seen several names come up in the past three months.

The two nominees, both former stars of the national team, will however come before the 36-man FA Executive Council who will accept or reject the nominations. If they accept, one would become the chairman whilst the other takes up the place as a management board member.

According to the GFA regulations, the Executive Council has the power to reject or accept the nomination before going to the polls to determine which of the two should head the management board.
