BY: Dennis Narterh Adzigodi, Sogakofe

Red Bulls Soccer Academy last Saturday defeated Ada based Denart soccer Academy both in the under 12 and 15 friendly matches played at Sogakofe. In the U-12 category Redbull thrashed Denart by 5-1 and also recorded 2-1 victory in the U-15 category.
In the well-attended match played at the Academy grounds, the visitors Denart soccer Academy from Ada played very well especially in the second half but three early goals in the first half changed the complexion of the game plan of the visitors forcing them to concede two further goals in the second half.
Red Bulls opened the scoring through a well taken penalty in the 6th minute half when a defender handed the ball in the penalty area. Denart F.C also had the same opportunity from the spot minutes later but failed to utilise the opportunity when skipper Dugbatey Divine shot wide.
In the U-15 category however, Denart Academy played a very fast and quick inter-passing game putting pressure on the defense of the home side. One of those quick moves resulted in the goal in the first half for the visitors through striker Daniel Agbloe Lomotey. Denart Academy played very well throughout the entire duration but fatigue and two defensive blunders resulted in two late goals for the home side, enabling Red Bulls to carry the day.
In an interview, the Manager and Head coach for Denart Academy, Denart has attributed their defeat to the artificial pitch and lack of tactical discipline on the side of his boys but was also full of praise for his boys for playing well against the Academy side especially this being the first time of playing on an artificial turf.
Denart was also grateful to the technical team especially Mr. Pieter Groen (Director of Redbull), Mr. Carlos (Team manager) and Madam Hameda ABDUL-WAHABI (Team Manager) for giving them the opportunity to play against them. He said his boys have learnt a lot from the friendly which in the long way will help them especially in their upcoming district league.
As part of the special friendly, the visitors also presented a plaque of appreciation to the Red Bulls Soccer Academy to recognise their good effort of helping to promote sports in the country.
The Director of Redbull Mr. Peter Groen was also full praise for the visitors especially with the level of football skills they exhibited and urged the boys to take their training very seriously in order to achieve their dream of becoming professional footballers.
