Dansoman Keep Fit Club wins friendly match

Accra, July 19, GNA- The Dansoman Keep Fit Club defeated Parliament F/C, 1-0 in their friendly football match played at the Dansoman Keep Fit Club Grounds on Saturday. Substitute Samuel Grant netted the only goal of the match in the 60th minute. Miss Theresah Tagoe, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma South, took the ceremonial kick-off.

The Parliamentary team, which was spearheaded in attack by Rashid Bawa, made several incursions into their opponents territory in the greater part of the first half but failed to utilise their chances. After recess, the Fit Club substituted their central defender Adjin Tettey for Kofi Kwah and Samuel Grant for Paa Kwesi Debrah, which paid off well when Grant outwitted two defenders and placed the ball at the blind side of goalkeeper Justice Dokpor. The Parliamentary team had an opportunity to equalise when it was awarded a penalty after inside left Rashid Bawa was brought down in the box in the 89th minute. Goalkeeper Archi Blessing expertly saved the resultant kick from midfielder Dennis Tetteh.
