The 2014/2015 First Capital Plus Premier League enters week 23 today with some mouth-watering encounters across the eight centers.

Spearheading the fixtures today is the match between threatened Accra Hearts of Oak and Kpando Hearts of Lions at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast.

Both clubs, find themselves in the relegation basket and a win at all cost will be premiering on the agenda of both sides. Hearts of Oak are playing home away from home due to a ban slapped on them by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association.

Asante Kotoko have been faced with a lot of issues and according to coach of the side, David Duncan his players are psychologically down and need to rise up, but I hope they do before kick off today otherwise WAFA will certainly add to their woes.

The Porcupine Warriors enters into this game with 29 points and are lying eleventh on the league table. A win by WAFA over Kotoko today could push the visitors down into the relegation zone.

At the Berekum Golden City Park, Chelsea will play as host to Liberty Professionals. Undoubtedly, Berekum Chelsea was the best team of the week last weekend for recording a 3-0 win over Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium and that should be a motivator going into this game.

Chelsea is second on the log with 36 points whilst Liberty Professionals are eighth with 31 points.

At the Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi, AshantiGold fc and New Edubiase United will engage in the battle of the Adansi. The soccer miners are at the summit of the table with 40 points whilst New Edubiase lies tenth with 29 points.

Matches between these two sides have always been fought gruesomely and this one is not going to be anything different. A draw seems likely, but for AshGold to be secured in their quest for winning the league they have to pick a win over their neighbours.

All Stars will host Aduana Stars at the Wa Park. All Stars have accumulated 32 points and are sixth on the league log whilst Aduana Stars are third on the log with 35 points.

At the Tema Community 3 Park, Inter Allies will play Sekondi Hasaacas. The home side have proven to be a very hard customers since they joined the premiership especially at home. Inter Allies are fifth on the table with 33 points whilst Hasaacas are seventh with 32 points.

Medeama Sporting Club will welcome Bechem United to the Tarkwa T&A Park in a battle which looks likely to be won by the home side. Medeama is ninth on the league table with 30 points whilst Bechem United is twelfth with 29 points.

The Sunyani Coronation Park will witness a battle between B.A United and Accra Great Olympics. The former is first from the bottom of the log with 17 points whilst the latter is fifteenth with 25 points.
