Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is confident of making Kwadwo Asamoah his first signing at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are confident of landing their number one target ahead of the new season with widespread reports suggesting a deal could be struck in the coming days.

Conte, who worked with Asamoah during his time at Juventus, is a key admirer of the hugely talented Ghana international.

And the report claims the Italian believes the 27-year-old’s versatility could be a huge benefit to Chelsea next season.

The Ghana international was a fringe player at the Juventus stadium last season due to injuries and made only 13 appearances in all competitions.

Roma are also apparently interested in a move for the winger.
