Chief Executive advises Coach Milo

Accra, May 6, GNA - The Chief Executive Officer of Red Lobsters Football Club, Mr Henry Nii Addy, has advised Black Stars Coach, Milovan Rajevac to use current form as the criteria for selection of players into Ghana's squad for the South Africa 2010 World Cup.

The CEO of the Madina-based Division Two Club said this would enable the team to make a significant impact on its second attempt in the biggest sporting event in the world.

Speaking to the GNA Sports in Accra on Thursday, Mr Addy said the current form of players will ensure a high level performance from the team since such players would be better c onditioned to deliver to the maximum expectation of all stakeholders. Nii Addy explained that such level of competition requires stamina, endurance and discipline and any lack of the attributes including dedication will derail the country's aim of making an impact at the Mundial and be a huge disappoint to the soccer loving Ghanaian sporting public. "Coach Milo must avoid half-fit players and also players who easily loose focus at the least distraction and are crowd-shy while urging the team doctor and psychologist to work on psyche of the players", he added. Nii Addy urged Ghanaians from all walks of life to rally solidly behind the players to enable them raise high the flag of the nation without any distractions.

Coach Milo is expected to name his final squad for the competition next week, which starts on June 10. Ghana would play their first match against Serbia on June 13. 06 May 10
