Chelsea vow to remain on top

As they await their coronation this coming Sunday, Glo Ghana Premier League champions in waiting, Bechem Chelsea are targeting more silverware and glory.

Sensational debutantes in their maiden season two years ago, Chelsea secured a historic league triumph in only their 3rd top flight season, claiming the title with 3 matches to spare before eventually finishing ten points clear of closest challengers Ashantigold.

Emmanuel Kyeremeh, Chairman of Chelsea has sworn to make his side better and better as well as continue to win more titles in the years to come.

“We thank God for bringing us this far. Chelsea was set up to challenge the status quo in Ghana. Right from the beginning, we made it our agenda to run a professional club and we believed that will bring us honours and God has made it come to pass. I’m very happy,” Mr. Kyeremeh has exclusively told ALL SPORTS.

Happy certainly the rank and file of Chelsea are at the moment, having also won the 2011 President’s Cup courtesy of victory over Asante Kotoko on Republic Day July 1, but head coach of the club Orlando Wellington has already targeted success in next year’s CAF Champions’ League as the ultimate test in their quest for more success.

The club capo supports the coach and also earmarks more achievements and trophies to come for his beloved Chelsea in the years to come. “Chelsea will continue to challenge for honours in Ghana. We want to continue bringing glory to the Ghanaian league, to Ghana and to our fans.

“We have some of the best players in the country, some of the best administrators and with God on our side, nothing should be deemed impossible,” Mr. Kyeremeh stated.
