Central Region Women's soccer league commences next week

Cape Coast, March 4, GNA - The Central Region Women's League will commence on Saturday, March 13, 2010, Mr Dzito Ewudzi, Vice-Chairman of the Regional Women's League Board has announced. He told the GNA sports in Cape Coast on Wednesday that eight women's soccer clubs will participate in the tournament.

The clubs are Cape Coast Vodaphone Ladies, Elmina Bafana Labies, Agona Super Blessing Ladies and Ayensudo P.S.K Academy. The rest are Great Assin North Ladies, Winneba Soccer Intellectuals, Winneba Charlton Ladies and Kasoa Blessed Ladies. Mr Ewudzi said the League will be divided into zones and the winners at the end and the first runners up from each zone will be selected to play in a top four competition.

He appealed to corporate bodies and financial institutions and individuals to support the Board in kind and cash to help promote women's soccer in the Region.
