Bukom Banku to referee Fathers vrs Bachelors game

Some of Ghana's leading boxing names including former world champion, Joshua Clottey will be the side attraction on the football pitch on Saturday when a fun game to be refereed by Braimah Kamoko AKA Bukom Banku takes centre stage.

Water Boys is a group of young men whose meeting place is located at Busia near Gbese in the Odododiodio constituency in the heart of Accra who are united and back each other in various endeavours and playing fun games is all my part of their life.

This Saturday is another special fun day for Water Boys when the married men face off against their single counterparts in a friendly soccer game at Bukom Square which will have the undefeated boxer, Bukom Banku in the middle officiating the show.

Some notable players for the fathers are Joshua Clottey, the former world boxing champion of course and Hon. Wallace Nii Tackie-Komme, acting chairman of the Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association (GAABA) and elected member of the Accra Metropolitan Assemby with their team manager being Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye, the CEO of Box Office Sports Promotions who staged the Banku-Powers and other big fights in this country.

The bachelors' team will also feature Jack Berry and renowned boxing matchmaker, Solomon Otoo Lartey alias Otoo Mangola who could soon join the fathers squad.

The referee of course will be Braimah Kamoko, the undefeated and most popular local boxer fondly nicknamed Bukom Banku.
