Bright Future wins E/R Second Division Middle League

Koforidua, Aug. 4, GNA - Amasaman Bright Future Football Club topped the Eastern Regional Football Association's 2008 Second Division League table with seven points and goal advantage to win the main Middle League at Koforidua. Dawu Sporting Club came second with seven points followed by Akosombo Sparks at the third position with three points and Kwahu Abetifi Odwen Anomah F/C placed forth with no point.

On their way to the top of the League, Bright Future drew 2-2 with Sporting Club, went ahead to spank Odwen Anomah 6-0 and also walloped Sparks F/C 4-0 while Sporting Club also beat Sparks F/C 3-1 and added Odwen Anoma with a 3-0 score line. Sparks who pipped Odwen Anomah 1-0 in their opening match lost the other two matches to place third while Odwen Anomah lost all its matches.

The Secretary of the Eastern Regional Football Association, Mr Solomon Yamoah in an interview with GNA Sports said the results would be forwarded to the Division One League Board to decide the Clubs from the Region to participate in the 2008/2009 Division One league.
