Bofo deny bribery allegation

The management of Tano Bofoakwa have denied an allegation by the teeming supporters of the club that they collected GH?1,500 (One thousand, five hundred Ghana Cedis) from George Afriyie and fixed their Division One League match played at Sunyani Coronation Park.

GFA Executive Committee member Mr. Afriyie’s Unity FC needed the points badly to enhance their chances of qualifying to the Middle League so according to the Bofo supporters, two of their key players deliberately excused themselves from the game to suit their bribery antics. Players like Salia and Isaac Quan who are always instrumental in the Bofo set up took a French leave from the club prior to the game against Unity.

Bofoakwa are noted for bribery allegations after every match they play and this time the most dominant names in the bribery allegation are the Team Manager Teacher Musah and Ayamba but both have come out denying this saga.

Though they have denied the allegation, our investigations prove that there is an iota of truth in the story so we encourage the GFA to follow up with their own investigations to ascertain the truth or otherwise.
