Black Stars win warm up test

Mathew Amoah scored a hat-trick on Thursday evening for the Black Stars in a preparatory match towards Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Sudan.

The NAC Breda striker was the sole man upfront in an experimented 4-5-1 formation against lower division side Dreams FC.

Amoah got off his mark when he rose inside the six-yard to apply his head box to Samuel Inkoom's across from the left.

He added the second when he tapped in from close range after Anthony Annan's wriggled past the defenders in the box but could not finish in style.

Amoah completed his demolishing exercise when he connected Michael Essien cross.

Left-back Harrison Afful was replaced after a quarter of an hour in the match which lasted 45 minutes

Line-up: Richard Kingson-John Mensah, Eric Addo, Harrison Afful/Samuel Inkoom, John Paintsil-Stephen Appiah, Michael Essien, Anthony Annan, Haminu Draman, Sulley Muntari-Mathew Amoah

Prior to that a Laryea Kingston captained side beat Assin Foso Stars 2-0 thanks to goals from Asamoah Gyan and Junior Agogo.

William Amamoo-Isaac Vorsah, Samuel Inkoom, Frank Boateng, Asamoah Gyan, Opoku Agyemang and Junior Agogo were joined by some four players from Sporting Mirren.
