Black Stars leave for Slovenia

A contingent of eight players and some officials of the Black Stars are scheduled to leave for Italy today to join the rest of the team en route to Slovenia.
This is in connection with their international friendly against Slovenia in Lublijuna on Friday.
The players who will be traveling today are Baffour Gyan, Derek Boateng, Peter Ofori-Quaye, Augustine Arhinful, Kofi Amposah, Richard Kingston, John Paintsil and Sammy Adjei.
Those expected to join them in Italy are George Blay, Hans Adu-Sarpei, Dan Edusei, John Mensah, Christian Gyan, Ibrahim Razak, Michael Essien, Emmanuel Duah and Stephen Appiah.
Caretaker Coach Malik Jabir said Charles Amoah and Germany-based Otto Addo who were originally invited for the match have sought permission to attend to some pressing family commitments.
Expected to be present at the Stars bench as an observer is newly appointed Yugoslav trainer, Millan Zivadinovic. The new coach takes over the training of the team immediately after the Slovenia match.
