Badu confident of Ghana final place

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu is confident his side can reach the Africa Cup of Nations final, after booking a final-four berth.

Badu is rallying the Black Stars to make a strong push for a place in the final of the 2012 event after their hard fought quarter-final victory over Tunisia.

Ghana came through a tight clash to beat the 2004 champions 2-1 in extra-time in what was - at times - a temperamental game fraught with bad tackles.

And Badu - who took the 'Man of the Match' honours after another tireless display in midfield - hailed his side's spirit, which he is convinced can take them past Zambia in Wednesday's semi-final.

"We had to dig in against Tunisia as we have had to do in every game," the Udinese man told KickoffGhana.

"We have had tough games so far but the next one against Zambia will be the most difficult because it is a place in the final at stake and they are playing good football."

Badu laughed off suggestions that Ghana have been unconvincing in their campaign so far, stating that results come before attractive football.

"We are not playing to please anyone," Badu said.

"At the end of the day we have won three games and drawn one and are in the semi-final."
